New Pink Stepladders Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Now you can help fight against breast cancer every time you use an office ladder, rolling ladder or steel step stool in your warehouse or manufacturing facility.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the distinctive ladders will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation — a charitable group that raises money for breast cancer research — or to whatever charity the buyer designates.

Social Awareness in the Workplace

It’s not often that social issues awareness campaigns enter the workplace, but EGA Products CEO Dave Young said that the company felt strongly enough about the issue to join forces with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

“We want to utilize our industry-leading expertise in the field of materials handling and rolling ladders to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people fighting cancer,” Young said in a news release. “No matter what form it takes, cancer had affected everyone’s life at one point or another. That makes it even more important to do whatever you can to contribute to this battle.”

Three different types of pink ladders are available:

  • A pink steel office ladder ($296 Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price)
  • A pink steel rolling warehouse ladder ($392 MSRP)
  • And a pink rolling step stool ($76 MSRP)

Raising Awareness While Helping a Cause

In addition to benefiting from a high-quality ladder, buyers can also have the peace of mind in knowing that they have helped contribute to breast cancer research. And employees will be reminded of the important issue every time they climb up or down the ladder.

The ladders are just the latest in a series of pink-themed breast cancer awareness promotions. The color first became associated with the cause back in 1991, when the Susan G. Komen Foundation first started handing out pink ribbons to participants in its race for breast cancer survivors held in New York City.

Since then, some of the most notable uses of the color have included a pink commemorative coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2006, pink stamps that were offered by the US Postal Service in 1996, and the pink ribbon has even been featured on the uniforms of players in the National Football League and Major League Baseball.

Bahrns offers a wide variety of ladders for all areas and tasks. Our fine selection includes ladders that are mobile, for picking, fold-up, wall-mounted, cross overs and for docks.
