Keeping It Together: Poly Strapping – Part 2

Poly Strapping Machine Grade Polypropylene Strapping
Machine Grade Polypropylene Strapping (poly strapping) is a strong choice for making sure your package arrives in the same shape as it was shipped.

When a type of packaging material is referred to as hand grade then rest assured there is more than likely a machine grade type application available. This holds true in the case of poly strapping or as it is sometimes called, poly banding. Machine grade polypropylene strapping is made to use with semi automatic and automatic strapping machines. These types offer a high elongation and tension recovery for facilities with mass packaging and shipping.

Polypropylene strapping is the most economical type of plastic strapping and is useful in many applications. This type of strapping does not require the use of scored seals and can be applied with seal-less friction weld tools. Machine grade polypropylene strapping is by far the most commonly used and least expensive of the types of strapping materials available today on the market and an excellent choice for light palletized strapping applications.
