Goeman’s Wood Products — the Hartford, Wisconsin based manufacturer of wooden pallets, shipping crates and other wooden packaging — has been purchased by Pallets USA, of Lannon, Wisconsin, for an undisclosed price, according to news reports. Goeman’s controller, John Sonn, was named president of Pallet USA as part of the acquisition. The purchase includes Goeman’s 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Hartford and Pallet USA’s corporate headquarters will be moved from Lannon to Hartford. Pallet USA was created in 2011 by Blackthrone Partners as a pallet reconditioner but is seeking to expand its scope into pallet manufacturing with its purchase of Goeman’s.
