ReachMaster has developed a new type of scissors lift that can operate on rugged surfaces, slopes and other areas that previous were off-limits to these types of equipment. The ReachMaster

Scissors lifts on wheels are nothing new. But the ReachMaster Bibilift 26BL is a small scissors lift that is mounted on tracks, like the ones found on tanks. This allows it to roll over turf, gravel, and practically any other surface without getting stuck or losing stability.

Twists and Turns

Plus, it has hydraulics attached to the chassis that allow the basket to remain level even when the tracks are parked on slopes or soft surfaces — something that is impossible for all other types of scissors lifts. This bi-leveling feature allows the Bibi 26-Bl to be set up and extended to its full height even while parked on sloped or uneven ground — without the use of outriggers.

“The genius combination of a small scissor stack on a track based chassis presents a completely new range of use for a much safer and more efficient way to get the job done than ever seen before,” the company stated in a news release announcing the new scissors lift.

Nearly 26-Foot Reach

The Bibi 26-BL has a working height of 25 feet, 11 inches. It also features a single door/gate access and has two power supplies: A 220V electric motor and a Honda gasoline engine, allowing it to operate indoors or outside.

The scissors lift also has proportional controls and has a basket capacity of 550 lbs. It weighs just 4,400 lbs.

Works on Sloped Surfaces

The ReachMaster scissors lift’s bi-leveling chassis allows up to 25-degree gradability and adjustable tracks that can accommodate a 21-degree slope.

“Small scissor lifts on wheels have been around for many years,” the news release stated. “Now for the first time, a small scissor lift can go places where no other small scissor lift has traveled before…. Easy to transport, clever design and strong components make the Bibi ideal as a multitasking tool.”

ReachMaster, which is headquartered just north of Houston, is a leading provider of compact aerial and material handling equipment.
