Roto-Picker Provides Easy Access to Items on the Back of a Pallet

When you need to access items that are located on the back of a pallet, it can be inconvenient and time-consuming. But product developed by King Industries, in Australia, provides an innovative solution.

The Roto-Picker allows pallets to be easily picked up and spun around on a turntable so that users have access to cartons or items located everywhere on the pallet. The operator simply uses a handle to pull out the pallet onto a wheeled slide, then rotates the pallet on the turntable top. The pallet can then be pushed back in and under a rack, exposing the rear cartons to the front for ease of picking, according to King’s US website.

The device comes in both narrow and standard pallet sizes. The turntable itself is stored hidden from view under the shelving deck. Both the turntable and the slide frame rely on precision-sealed ball bearings for easy of movement and rotation.

The Roto-Picker has a 3,300-pound capacity and stands only 5 inches in height. All of its parts are plated in zinc to prevent rusting and prolong usable life.

The device helps avoid workplace strains and injuries caused by workers picking up heavy weights while bending over and moving them in an out from under a pallet rack — not to mention bumped heads!
