The Hercules Green Scissor Lift Table will be displayed at ProMat 2013.

The Hercules Green Scissor Lift Table is a new offering from Products for Industry that combines the best features of the Hercules brand with environmental responsibility.

Products for Industry stated that it desired to build a “green” scissor lift table as part of the company’s efforts to create material handling equipment with a smaller carbon footprint, according to a company press release available for viewing at https://www.promatshow.com/press/exhibitors.aspx . This table boasts less environmental impact from manufacturing to operational use, as well as less risk of ground contamination.

Hydraulic fluid used in the Hercules Green Scissor Lift Table is biodegradable vegetable-based, which is both a renewable resource and environmentally non-toxic. It also uses food-grade grease in its re-greaseable bearings.

“By providing a product with the well-known quality attributes of the Hercules brand and replacing  environmentally harmful elements, PFI has taken another important step in moving the industry towards the future while providing all of the performance that manufacturing demands of a Hercules heavy duty scissor lift,” the press release said.

The product is finished with water-based paint, combining durability with a quick drying time and fewer emission odors. Volatile Organic Compound (or VOC) output isn’t present in its drying process.

Made in the U.S.A., the Hercules Green Scissor Lift Table runs on a high-efficiency motor called “an upgrade from those of other lifts” by the press release. “This is yet another way that this lift reduces its carbon footprint along with total operating costs, thereby providing a substantial pay back over time,” it said, citing reduced electricity consumption, reduced heat output and a longer service life as other strengths of this lift table.

PFI will be on exhibit at next month’s ProMat 2013 trade show in Chicago. The Material Handling Industry of America will hold ProMat, featuring hundreds of companies from all areas of material handling and logistics, the week of January 21 to 24.
