Akro-Mills Gives Local Atlanta Family a Helping Hand

Akro-Mills — the Akron, Ohio, based manufacturer of storage, organization and transport products — has donated $2,500 worth of plastic storage bins and other products to benefit an Atlanta-area family in need of a helping hand.

The company made the donation to the Atlanta chapter of Habitat for Humanity during the 2014 True Value Spring Market Show, which was held at the Georgia World Congress Center last month. Products included containers, portable organizers, storage cases, plastic and steel storage cabinets, and louvered bench racks.

The items were than sold in Habitat for Humanity’s local ReStore with the proceeds funding the construction of a new home for an Atlanta family, according to a company news release.

Akro-Mils is a subsidiary of Myers Industries Inc., a leading manufacturer of plastic and metal storage, organization, transport and material handling products for use in industrial, medical/pharmacy, commercial and consumer markets.
